The Zenith Academy El Primero Tourbillon has the following functions: the Tourbillon, the Perpetual Calendar and the El Primero chronograph. The chronograph actually shares the same subdial as the perpertual calendar. The subdial at 3 indicates the day with the center displaying the 30-second and the next subdial at 9 shows the date with the 60-second indication in the center.

Its 45mm diameter case is made of rose gold and houses the new El Primero 4033 calibre. It has 492 parts and 35 rubies. It uses asymmetric numerals that gives it a unique touch in its dial finishing. The tourbillon cage is fixed to the XI Roman numeral. The dial has two different guilloche patterns: a wavy design on the 3 dials of the perpetual calendar and barleycorn for the rest. Everything is hand crafted solid gold, from the circles to the hands, including the numerals. The integral black alligator strap has a triple folding clasp in rose gold weighing 24 grams.
