To commemorate Terminator trilogy, the Royal Oak Offshore Terminator 3 was launched during close to the premiere of Terminator 3: Rise of the Machine. Arnold Schwarzenegger wore the watch in the movie. This is an automatic chronograph that is fully hand-finished and has a special protection against magnetic fields using metal ductile frames in its movement.
This is a big watch but light weight because of the use of titanium. Its diameter is 42mm and has a thickness of 15.8mm. It still possesses the octagonal bezel and uses hexagonal nuts and screws in white gold. The crown is hexagonal and screwed-down with two pushers located at 2 and 4.
Around the crown and pushers is an interestingly guard that makes the overall look of the watch very robotic. It fit the content of the Terminator very well. The metal guards around the pushers can be lifted as a lever. There is no additional purpose for the guard other than being a nice complement to the look of the watch.
The dial itself is made of anthracite-gray and also decorated with Grande Tapisserie pattern. Its sub-dials are black and also decorated with circular beads. Its Arabic numerals are luminescent and so are the white-gold baton hands.
Sub-dials indicated with are the hour counter at 6, minute counter at 9, and the small seconds counter at 12. Its date display has a magnified glass located at 3. The minute track is printed on the dial and it also has a tachometer scale flange above the minute track.
It uses leather straps with titanium clasp. The other version available is one with a silvered dial. The Royal Oak Offshore Terminator 3 is a limited edition with only 1,000 pieces produced.
