IWC Portuguese Tourbillon Mystere has a very impressive 18k red gold case that is beautifully coordinated with its dark gray dial. The case is 44.2mm in diameter with a height of 14.2mm.

On the dial, it uses applied Arabic numerals and cabochon minute tracks. The central hands are based on slender leaf shape design. The tourbillon case is located at 12 where around it is the dial apex with Cotes de Geneve finishing. The tourbillon is created with a floating illusion where it revolves about on its own axis.
At 9 is the small seconds subdial and the power reserve indicator, showing a power reserve status of up to 7 days, is located between 4 and 5. All these spectacular design is under convex sapphire glass with anti-reflective treatment on both sides. Its sapphire glass caseback reveals the intricate mechanism within.
It is a mechanical movement with Automatic Pellaton winding system. This system uses a cam design to transmit the rotor's movement into winding energy. It uses the 50900 caliber manufactured by IWC. The central rotor bears the IWC "Probus Scafusia" motto medallion. This flying tourbillon is affixed from underneath rather than across the bridge and hence makes this flying tourbillon a treasure. There are 44 jewels within this movement that has a frequency of 19,800 vibrations per hour.
Its strap is amde of alligator leather with an 18k gold folding clasp. There are 500 pieces produced worldwide for the red gold and 250 pieces for the white gold.
