The IWC Pilots Watch UTC Edition Antoine de Saint Exupery is the third edition of of the Antoine de Saint Exupery that pays tribute to author and pilot, Terres de Homme.
The watch has 24-hour universal time display that can allow easy time adjustment in one hour sequences through the turning of the crown. It offers unlimited adjustment, both forwards and backwards, and thus in any flying direction. The date display located at 3 synchronizes when the jumping hour display is adjusted forward to the next day or backward to the previous day. Therefore, it meets the aeronautical requirements when moving in different time zones around the world.
On its tobacco brown dial, there is an initial "A" signature position at 9 to represent "Antoine de Saint Exupery". The case is 44mm in diameter and height of 12.9mm. The inner case is made of soft iron so as to protect the mechanisms within from magnetic fields. The sapphire glass is convex with anti-reflective treatment on both sides. The glass is also resistant to sudden drops in pressures. The watch has water resistance up to 6 bar.
The mechanical movement is automatic winding using caliber 30710. There are 23 jewels within and vibrates at 28,800 per hour. The power reserve is up to 42 hours.
The limited edition is different for each type of metal used. 500 watches for 18 carat rose gold; 250 watches for white gold; and 1188 watches for stainless steel. All of them comes in buffalo leather strap.
