The Panerai Luminor 8 Day Chronograph has a hand-wound mechanical movement running on the Panerai Caliber P.2004/1. It has 13¾ lignes, 8.2mm thick with 29 jewels and 8-day power reserve. It has Glucydur® balance and vibrating at 28,800 alternations per hour. It also has the KIF Parechoc® anti-shock device.

The functions available are the hours, minutes, seconds, second time zone, 8-day power reserve, 24h indicator, second reset, horizontal power reserve indicator and a single-button chronograph.
The case is 44mm in diameter and made of brushed steel. The buttons for the chronograph function located at 8 o’clock is also made of brushed steel. Its bezel is made of polished steel. The case back has see-through sapphire crystal.
The classic device protecting the crown which is a Trade Mark of Panerai is made of brushed steel. It uses sapphire crystal made from corundum that is 2mm thick and has anti-reflective coating. It has water resistance up to 100 meters. It uses the alligator strap with Panerai personalized brushed steel large-size buckle.
