The Montblanc Star Nicolas Rieussec Monopusher Chronograph is running on the Montblanc-manufactured MB R100-caliber movement. It is a hand-wound movement with chronograph, twin barrels and stop balance wheel. It uses 286 components and 33 jewels. It has a power reserve of 72 hours with two barrels. It has a frequency of 28,800 semi-oscillations per hour. The plates are rhodium-plated and circular-grained. Its bridges are also rhodium-plated with Geneva stripes. It has special toothing for more efficient power transmission for the going train.

It has functions that include the hours and minutes on an off-center dial. It has a central date hand where the dates are in the inner circumference of the off-center hours and minutes off-center dial. The chronograph is displayed on the 60-second and 30-minute counters using rotating discs and fixed hands. Its power reserve display is on the case back. It has a monopusher operation at 8 o'clock for the chronograph.
The case is made of 18K red gold with a diameter of 43mm and height of 14.8mm. The lug width is 22mm. It uses a convex sapphire glass with anti-reflective treatment on both sides. Its caseback reveals a see-through sapphire glass. The winding crown is made of 18K red gold with inlaid Montblanc insignia in mother-of-pearl. It has water resistance of up to 30m. There are Geneva stripes between 4 and 8 o'clock. Its strap is made of alligator leather strap with double folding clasp in 18 K red gold. It is limited in 125 watches. Other available models are the platinum version in limited edition of 25 watches, white gold version in limited edition of 75 watches, and the yellow gold version in limited edition of 75 watches.
