Montblanc Star Nicolas Rieussec Monopusher Chronograph is in remembrance of the inventor of chronograph: Nicolas Rieuss. This watch uses the Montblanc caliber MBR100. It is a manual movement that has its chronograph controlled by a classical column wheel wtih vertical disc clutch. Interesting about its chronograph is that it uses only one pusher that is located at 8 o'clock side of the case. The first press of the pusher starts the second counter (left side); the second press stops the measured time (both revealed on the second disc and 30-minute counter (right side); the third press resets both counters to zero to measure the next time.

The hour, minute, and seconds function are displayed in an off-centre dial. There is another dial within hour circle that features a 1 to 31 scale for the date display. The movement has two barrels, which generate a 72-hour power reserve. The case back has the sapphire crystal that reveals the back of the movement and also the power reserve.
It is available in limited numbers: 25 watches in platinum 950, 75 in 18 K white gold and 75 in 18 K yellow gold, together with 125 watches in 18 K rose gold. The diameter of the watch is 43mm where they are cold-moulded and hand-finished. It uses a convex sapphire glass with an anti-reflective treatment on both sides covering the dial.
