Patek Philippe
Nautilus Ref. 5980/1A

This is a long overdue sports watch design from Patek Philippe. The Nautilus Ref. 5980/1A Chronograph resembles the Ref. 5960P in its mono-counter at 6 with three concentric scales for the 60-minute and 12-hour indications. It is also a first in being a self-winding chronograph with annual calendar launched in Jan 2006.

Patek Philippe Nautilus Ref. 5980/1A

It uses the caliber 28-250C as per Ref. 5960P but it also incorporated new things such as an instant-change date aperture at 3 and also the chronograph hand has a flyback feature doubling as a constantly running sweep seconds hand. Interestingly this chronograph has also a very thin casing made of stainless steel measuring only 12.16mm.
