Jaeger LeCoultre Master Eight Days Perpetual SQ is the only perpetual calendar ever produced with an 8-day power reserve. It has skeleton movement that reveals every mechanism and components within. In addition, the transparent mastery is based on planisphere. The engineers used the balance as the pole to draw the map of an imaginary world with longitudinal and latitudinal lines. The whole planisphere is ruthenium-finished with beautifully sculptured sunburst motifs.

The Master Eight Days Perpetual SQ movement is hand-wound with 260 components with 28,800 vibrations per hour. It has 37 jewels within the 6.60mm movement. The functions available are the hours, minutes, dates, day of the week and month, moon phase, and day-night indication. It has Arabic numeral indication for 12, 3, 6, and 9.
The power reserve is located on the left side of 12 o'clock and the day-night indication is positioned on the right side of the 12 o'clock. The day-night indication has a special security feature with a red zone to remind users not to make adjustments during 9pm and 3am to avoid damaging the perpetual calendar mechanism. The moon phase display is located at 9. The month indication is positioned at 6 and the day display at 3.
The case is made of 950 platinum in 41.5mm diameter in sapphire crystal that is treated with anti-reflection on both sides. Its water resistance is up to 50 meters. It has one crown to start the watch and to adjust the hours, minutes, day/night indicator while another one is a corrector to adjust the entire set of perpetual calendar where it is based on 1 press to equate 1 day change. The hands are all baton a facette shaped. It uses alligator leather with a double folding buckle of 18mm.
