Luminox SR 71 Blackbird
The Luminox SR 71 Blackbird series uses the 9072 Swiss Automatic Valjoux movement. It has a more streamlined design compared to the previous Blackbird series. It uses a self-powered 12LLT which is a Luminox Light Technology using gaseous light tubes on the hands and dial at 12 of the internal bezel. This can sustain its glow continuously for more than 25 years and it is also known to be 100 times brighter than other luminous watches.
Its case is 44mm in diameter which is 2mm larger than the original Blackbird series. The case is made of black PVD stainless steel with screw-down crown and caseback. It uses anti-reflective sapphire crystal that is scratch resistance as well. Its water resistance is 100 meters. The dial is black with a turning bezel that is built within the watch. Its functions are the hours, minutes, seconds, day , date and chronograph. The chronograph functions include hour subdial at 6, minute subdial at 12, and the seconds counter at 9. The day and date window is located at 3.
