Locman
Innovating Timepieces with
Unconventional Metal & Designs

Started in 1986, Locman Italy very first collection was the Radica that uses a unique bezel made from briarwood that were crafted from Mediterranean trees dated 300 years ago. This collection also began to evolve over the next 2 years and 36 other designs were created. It later incorporated steel case lined with the wooden bezel.

Further breakthroughs in their innovation were using Aluminum for their case in 1999. The collection was the Aluminum Sport. Using this metal allows a light weighted case and further enhancing its attraction was using very creative designs.

The company took this concept to another level in 2000 by adding diamonds with the aluminum case, even for their mens watches. This collection Aluminum Diamond was never achieved before by any other watch companies.

The most popular designs were the Tonneau Diamond Aluminum available in classic time and chronograph models. Later they introduced the Full Pave which added more than 2 carats of diamond onto their classic design and more than 4 carats into their chronographs. They added on mother-of-pearl dials that gained more attractions toward this collection.

This aluminum collection spins off into other collections like the Nuovo, Quadrato, 1970, and Luna where the aluminum case concept with or without diamonds were also utilized. The Luna has been one of the most successful because of its extraordinary domed crystals that comes in a wide range of rainbow colors.

Locman next attempt was using titanium for its case which gave it a light-weighted and yet rugged finishing. This collection was known as Mare (which means sea). Its focus for this range was its water resistance of 100m as well as oversized Arabic numerals.

It further added vibrancy within this collection by having a wide array of bright colors. As with its previous designs, the company creatively used carbon-fiber for its dials in addition to their lacquered dial.

The Tonneau Titanio was also introduced which resembles the designs of Aluminum Sport. It used carbon-fiber dial with bright colored Arabic numerals like marine blue and red. Later primary colors of carbon-fiber dials were made available.

Other titanium inspired case was also included in their 1970 range known as 1970 Titanium. The general design is an oversized dial with carbon-fiber dials running on an automatic mechanical movement.

Other revolutionary designs was the Nuovo Carbonio, the first watch in the world to use cabon-fiber fully for its case. It involves special technique to have this case created and it took many months of research and development.

The overall finishing produces a very sporty look that is not only shock proof but also scratch proof and corrosion proof. Its push buttons are made of titanium that uses an automatic mechanical movement as well as chronograph movement. Locman spiced up its sporty design with brilliant colors like yellow and red.

Their newly inspired Latin Lover has also caught with many collectors. The attraction is the ergonomic case that has moveable lugs that can be adjusted to fit into a man’s wrist with comfort. It also uses bold Arabic numerals at 12 and 6 with a date display at 4. It runs on automatic mechanical movement.
