IWC Portuguese Perpetual Calendar
The IWC Portuguese Perpetual Calendar features a countdown display to read off the exact number of days remaining until the next full moon, a celestial object that exerts influence on Earth with its gravitational pull. Impressively, in this timepiece, the representation of the course of the moon deviates by just 12 seconds from the actual time in each lunar period. This timepiece houses an automatic IWC Caliber 51614. It contains 62 jewels that vibrate at 21,600 times per hour. The movement also features Pellaton winding. Power reserve is mechanically limited to 7 days.

The functions are hours, minutes, subsidiary seconds; perpetual calendar with date, day, month, four-digit year display, double moon phase for the earth's northern and southern hemispheres. The casing comes in white gold or red gold. It is 44.2mm in diameter, with a height of 15.5mm. The convex face is made of anti-reflective treated sapphire crystal, and the transparent case-back as well, allowing a view of the splendid mechanics within. In this IWC Portuguese Perpetual Calendar version, the lacquered off-white dial is teamed with a black alligator leather strap with folding clasp.
