IWC Portuguese Automatic
The IWC Portuguese Automatic unveiled by IWC retains the original flavor of the first Portuguese made in 1930s. This timepiece houses an automatic IWC Caliber 51011. It contains 42 jewels that vibrate at 21,600 times per hour. The movement also features an exclusive patented Pellaton winding. Power reserve is theoretically 8.5 days but mechanically limited to 7 days. The functions are hours, minutes, subsidiary seconds; date at 6; and power reserve display.

The stainless steel casing is 42.3mm in diameter, with a height of 13.9mm. White gold or red gold casings are also available. The convex face is made of anti-reflective treated sapphire crystal, and the transparent case-back as well, allowing a view of the splendid mechanics within. Water-resistance is to 3 atm. In this IWC Portuguese Automatic version, the lacquered off-white dial is contrasted by slim swallow-style hands and appliquéd Arabic numerals of a quirky eclectic blue, the strap is a dark blue alligator leather strap with folding clasp.
