GST Split Second is an automatic winding mechanical using the IWC Caliber 79230 with integrated chronograph. The chronograph is modified by the addition of the spilt-second device.
This piece is shock-resistant and is antimagnetic according to the NICHS 91-10 standards. The functions include hour, minute, small seconds, day, date and spilt second chronograph with 3 counters.
The polished and brushed three piece case comes in stainless steel, with a diameter of 43mm and a thickness of 17mm.
The perforated bezel comes with curved sapphire crystal is antiflective and has a screw-down crown, with pusher at 10 for the spilt-second chronograph.
It has a screw-on back and is water resistant to 12atm (120m) It comes in stainless steel bracelet which is polished and brushed. The clasp is a recessed fold-over style with safety pusher.
The dial comes in black on three levels. The subdials are decorated with circular beads with applied faceted rhodium-plated baton markers along with rhodium-plated luminescent baton hands.
The dial is also available in blue, gray rhodium-plated or salmon, or in titanium with black dial.
The indications include day of the week and date at 3 with hour counter at 6 and small seconds at 9. The minute counter sits on 12 with center second and spilt second counters. The minute track is equipped with divisions of ¼ second and five-minute graduation.
