The Grand Langematik has a mechanical automatic winding Sax-0-Mat (Sax for Saxony, 0 for zero-reset mechanism, Mat for automatic) caliber. The zero-reset mechanism is A. Lange and Sohne’s patented mechanism where once the crown is pulled, the seconds hand automatically jumps back to the 12 position.

It has a very simple design with a bigger case than Langematik. The case is 40mm in diameter with 10.7mm thickness. There is a rectangular date corrector pusher at 10.
It uses flat sapphire crystal on the front and also on the transparent caseback. There are three choices of case: platinum, pink-gold and yellow-gold.
The dial for platinum case is in solid silver, the pink-gold case has a black dial, and the yellow-gold has a champagne-silver.
It has a nice baton marker for every five minutes with printed minute track in-between and two luminescent dots on each quarter. The central hands are also luminescent.

The metal scheme for the baton markers, central hands, and the border of the double window outsized date are similar to the case except for platinum which uses rhodium-gold.
Their patented outsized date is located at 12 and its small seconds counter is positioned at 6. This sub-dial uses a blue hand for the platinum and gold cases while a pink-gold hand for pink-gold case.
It uses hand-stitched crocodile leather with metal clasp that has similar metal scheme as the case. The buckle also has the “Lange” signature engraved on it.
