The Grand Lange 1 is configured like Lange 1 but a larger version of it. Its case is 41.9mm in diameter which is about 3.4mm wider than the latter. The sapphire crystal used is also flat but treated with anti-reflective.
Similarly, the date corrector is located at 10 and a crown positioned at 3. The caseback is transparent with a sapphire crystal that reveals clearly the movement within.
The case comes in yellow gold, pink gold, and platinum. Each type of case comes with different colored dial.
- Yellow gold case: solid silver inside the two counters and champagne argente on the main dial.
- Pink gold case: gray inside the two counters and black on the main dial
- Platinum case: white inside the two counters and solid silver on the main dial
The two counters on are the hour and minute counter and the small seconds counter. The markers, numerals and hands on Grand Lange 1 uses the same metal scheme as the case except for platinum that uses rhodium-plated ones instead. It is very much the same as Lange 1.
Its off-centered hour and minute counter is still located at 9. However, its bigger size for this counter makes it intersects more significantly with the small seconds counter (also created with a larger size) positioned between 4 and 5. The bordered double window for its patented outsized date still exists.
Crocodile hand-stitched leather strap defines it high quality commitment. It comes with the same metal make-up as the case for its buckle that has a hand-engraved “Lange” signature.
