Glashutte Senator Navigator Chronograph

The Glashutte Senator Navigator Chronograph boasts of the same horological know-how found in all movements by Glashütte Original. These are created by experienced in-house watchmakers and prided for their reliability and high quality. The Senator Navigator series was first unveiled in 2006, amid much fanfare for its resemblance to the timepieces of the WWII German pilots.

This timepiece houses an automatic Glashütte Original Caliber 39-34. It contains 51 jewels that vibrate at 28,800 times per hour. Power reserve is estimated at 40 hours. The usual Glashütte touches like the swan-neck fine adjustment and three-quarter plate are present as well, with Glashütte ribbing and double sunburst decoration. The main functions are hours, minutes, subsidiary seconds; chronograph.

The stainless steel casing is a generous and stately 44mm in diameter and has a height of 14.2mm.The domed face is made of sapphire crystal and is anti-reflective, allowing perfect clarity of the dial. The crown and pushpieces are in the usual position on the right to activate the start, stop and reset function. Water resistance is to 50 meters.

The Glashutte Senator Navigator Chronograph matte black dial is adorned with two balanced totalizers at 3 and 9, and has SuperLuminova-coating on the bold Arabic numerals and hands, this enables perfect readability of the watch even in dark conditions. The blue hands round up the dial nicely with a touch of elegance. The strap is made of black Louisiana alligator skin, and comes with a classic tang-style steel buckle.
