Glashutte Senator Calendar Week
The Glashutte Senator Calendar Week is one of the few timepieces on the market that comes with a calendar week function. This complicated horological feat is achieved with the use of over 200 components in the movement, and twin spring barrels were installed for a flawless operation.
This timepiece houses an automatic Glashütte Original Caliber 100-05. It contains no less than 71 jewels that vibrate at 28,800 times per hour and comes with a reset mechanism. The main functions are hours, minutes, sweep seconds; panorama date; calendar weeks. The stainless steel or rose gold casing is 40mm in diameter and has a height of 13mm.The domed face is made of sapphire crystal and is anti-reflective, allowing perfect clarity of the dial. The transparent back is made of the same material, and allows a view of the movement within. The Glashutte Senator Calendar Week soft silvered dial is elegantly uncluttered, adorned with a red display at 12 for the week, and the date display at 4. The version shown here has red gold polished indexes and lance-shaped hands that round up the dial nicely with a contemporary touch. The strap is made of brown Louisiana alligator skin, and comes with a double folding clasp.
