Fortis Square Chronograph
The Fortis Square Chronograph is the result of a collaboration between Fortis and the Swiss International Airline, and is presented in a clear, functional, yet sophisticated design. Fortis, the Swiss watch manufacturer entrenched within Russian space travel specialists, have added another promising timepiece, this time in a square casing, to its collection of successful round watches.
This watch is powered by the automatic ETA Valjoux Caliber 7750. It contains 25 jewels that vibrate at 28,800 times per hour. The movement contains a decorated rotor. The main functions are hours, minutes, subsidiary seconds; chronograph; date; weekday. The stainless steel casing is 38 x 38mm and has a height of 15mm. Water resistance is to 100 meters. The angled inner flange has a 60 minute scale. The face and caseback are both made of sapphire crystal and is anti-reflective. The transparent back mounted into the case with 4 screws, allows a view of the micromechanical movement within. The Fortis Square Chronograph dial is matte black in color, and contrasted nicely against the large white SuperLuminova-coated Arabic numerals and hands, ensuring visibility is not a problem even in dark conditions. The strap is black leather with white stitching, and comes with a buckle. One may also opt for the stainless steel bracelet instead.
