Fortis B-42 Titanium Black Edition
The Fortis B-42 Titanium Black Edition is so called due to its all-black appearance. The brand Fortis has its name lent from Latin, which means “strong”, so it is only fitting that this brand has stood the test of time for almost a century. Associated with air and space travel due to Fortis' creation of the first generation of official space chronographs for use in orbit, the brand is synonymous with robustly reliable watches.
The Fortis B-42 Titanium Black Edition is powered by the automatic ETA Caliber 2836-2. It contains 25 jewels that vibrate at 28,800 times per hour. The main functions are hours, minutes, sweep seconds; date; and weekday at 3. The black PVD-coated titanium casing has a diameter of 42mm and height of 13mm. The large push-in crown system still allows for water resistance is to 200 meters. It has a unidirectionally racheted rotating bezel with 60-minute divisions. The face is made of sapphire crystal and is anti-reflective. The dial, together with the Arabic numerals and hands are all matte black, but visibility is greatly improved by the white accented SuperLuminova hands that contrast beautifully against the rest of this sporty watch. The strap is black rubber and hugs right to the case, and comes with a double folding clasp. This watch is a classic stealth, and an option of a leather strap is also available.
