Fortis B-42 Marinemaster Chronograph
The new Fortis B-42 Marinemaster Chronograph features a new bezel with extended teeth, that enhances grip and eases turning. The B-42 range from Fortis, the Swiss watch manufacturer entrenched within Russian space travel specialists, are all pretty generous in their sizes, and this model, the B-42 Marinemaster Day/Date, strikes one as being bold, rugged, and reliable.
The Fortis B-42 Marinemaster Chronograph is powered by the automatic ETA Valjoux Caliber 7750. It contains 25 jewels that vibrate at 28,800 times per hour. The main functions are hours, minutes, subsidiary seconds; chronograph; date and weekday at 3. The stainless steel casing has a diameter of 42mm and height of 15mm. The large push-in crown, pushpieces and screwed-in caseback allows for water resistance is to 200 meters. The angled inner flange has a tachymeter scale. The face is made of sapphire crystal and is anti-reflective. The dial is matte black in color, and contrasted nicely against the large white SuperLuminova-coated Arabic numerals and hands, ensuring visibility is not a problem even in dark dive conditions. The strap is black rubber with a double folding clasp. Variations to the strap are choices of a black leather strap with white stitching, or a stainless steel bracelet.
