Fortis B-42 Flieger Chronograph Alarm
The Fortis B-42 Flieger Chronograph Alarm, is the same size as most of the other B-42 models at 42mm in diameter. Unique to this model is an integrated alarm mechanism with automatic winding. This timepiece comes in a limited edition of 500 pieces.
The Fortis B-42 Flieger Chronograph Alarm is powered by the automatic Fortis Caliber 2001-5 (base Valjoux 7750). It contains 32 jewels that vibrate at 28,800 times per hour. The movement is an official COSC certified chronometer, meaning that the movement is as reliable and precise as they come. The main functions are hours, minutes, subsidiary seconds; chronograph; date; alarm. The black PVD-coated stainless steel casing has a height of 17mm. The large push-in crown, and pushpieces allow for water resistance is to 200 meters. The angled inner flange has a 60-minute marking. The face and caseback are both made of sapphire crystal and is anti-reflective. The transparent caseback allows a view of the splendid sophisticated movement housed within this tough-looking exterior. The Fortis B-42 Flieger Chronograph Alarm uncluttered dial is matte black in color, and contrasted nicely against the large white SuperLuminova-coated Arabic numerals and hands, ensuring visibility is not a problem even in dark conditions. The strap comes in black rubber with a double folding clasp, with a choice of leather strap or stainless steel bracelet as well.
