Ebel 1911 Discovery Chronograph
As with most of Ebel's 1911 Tekton timepieces, the Ebel 1911 Discovery Chronograph lives up to the “bigger is better” design. The watch is developed as a overall general purpose functional chronometer, with the chronograph operating through two push buttons and three subdials for the hours, minutes and seconds.
The Ebel 1911 Discovery Chronograph is powered by the automatic Ebel Caliber 750 (base ETA Valjoux 7750). It contains 25 jewels that vibrate at 28,800 times per hour. The precision of this movement is certified by C.O.S.C. The main functions are hours, minutes, subsidiary seconds; chronograph; date and weekday. The mono-hulled stainless steel casing has a diameter of 43mm, with a height of 14.2mm. Water resistance is to 100 meters. The case has a coloured aluminium inlaid tachymeter scale on the bezel. The face is made of sapphire crystal and glare-proofed. The crown is screwed in. The dial comes in various colour combinations, the one featured here is black with silvered markers and sword-shaped hands coated with Superluminova. The band is a stainless steel bracelet with double folding clasp.
