The Datograph uses column wheel principle to run its chronograph. This mechanism is based on a steel switching wheel that runs all the important switching operations for the chronograph.
It has a flyback feature which allows the seconds hand to stop measurement and reset to zero upon pressing down the pusher, and then restart a new time measurement the moment the pusher is released.

It is a mechanical and manual winding movement where everything is pieced together by hand. The case has a diameter of 39mm and a thickness of 12.8mm.
There are two versions of case available: pink-gold and platinum. It uses an anti-reflective treated flat sapphire crystal for the front. The caseback also has the same sapphire crystal that reveals the intricate movement within.
Both types of case have a black main dial and two solid silver sub-dials. One of the sub-dials is a minute counter at position 4, and the other is the small seconds counter at 8. For pink-gold case, it has pink-gold baton markers and Roman numerals.
The central hands are pink-gold with luminescent and the counter hands are crafted blue steel. The platinum, on the other hand, replaces the pink-gold with rhodium-plated gold finishing.
The patented outsized date with bordered double window continues to exist in the Datograph. Its dial also includes minute track that is divided into 1/5 of a second as well as a tachometer scale.
The straps used are hand-stitched crocodile leather with similar metal scheme clasp as the case.
