Breitling Superocean Heritage 46

The Breitling Superocean Heritage 46 uses the number 46 being the size of this timepiece. The different location of the date apertures differentiate the Heritage 46 from its smaller brother the Heritage 38.

When Breitling first unveiled the Superocean in 1957, it created immense excitement amongst divers then for its technological feat of water-resistance up to 200m at that time. In paying homage to that first Superocean model, this esteemed brand has come up with the Superocean Heritage 46.

Breitling Superocean Heritage 46

This particular model is powered by the atuomatic Breitling Caliber 17 (base ETA 2824), containing 25 jewels with 28,800 vph. It is a COSC officially certified chronometer, making the watch one of the most reliable and precise around.

The stainless steel case is 46mm in diameter with a height of 13.6mm. The case features a 120-tooth unidirectionally rotating steel-and-aluminium bezel with reference markers. The face is made of scratch-resistant glareproofed sapphire crystal, which is cambered so that readability remains uncompromised even at angles.

The crown is screwed in with two gaskets. Water-resistance is up to 20atm. The main functions are hours, minutes, subsidiary seconds; and date at 6.

The Breitling Superocean Heritage 46 dial and bezel is a sporty black in color, contrasted with silvered luminescent hands. The distinctive shape of the minute hand is also inspired by the 1957 Superocean model. The dial also features the 1950s Breitling logo topped by a B in 18k gold. This sophisticated and eye-catching attractiveness of the watch is completed with the Ocean Classic steel bracelet with folding clasp, or the rubber Ocean Racer strap.
