Breitling Bentley Motors Speed

The Breitling Bentley Motors Speed is part of the Serie Motors. It was in 1946 that the first Bentley rolled out of a factory in Crewe. In a fitting tribute, Breitling created a series of timepieces – Breitling for Bentley. This model is created with the signature finishes of the British carmaker, with its recognizable knurled finish on the bezel paying homage to the Bentley controls. Another exclusive feature of the Bentley Motors Speed is a 30-second chronograph that enables alarming precision to 1/8th of a second.

This watch is powered by the automatic Breitling Caliber 25B (base ETA 2892-2 with Dubois Dėpraz module), containing 38 jewels with 28,800 vph. This movement has a 60-minute totalizer in the centre. It is a COSC officially certified chronometer, making the watch one of the most reliable and precise around.

The Breitling Bentley Motors Speed stainless steel case is an extremely stately 48.7mm in diameter with a height of 15.5mm. It distinctively features a rotating pinion bezel with variable tachometer (circular slide rule) which allows measurement of average speed regardless of time elapsed or distance covered. The face is made of scratch-resistant glareproofed sapphire crystal, which is cambered, making it easy to read the dial with little distortions at angles.

The crown is screwed in. Water-resistance is to 100m. The main functions are hours, minutes, subsidiary seconds; chronograph; date between 4 and 5.

The steel version of Breitling Bentley Motors Speed has dials that come in many variations: royal ebony, anthracite, silver storm, laurel green, neptune, grey violet or bronze, whereas the yellow gold casing has dials of royal ebony, neptune or silver storm. The one featured here is the anthracite, showing a sporty black background with silvered indexes and hands. This timepiece is teamed with a crocodile leather, rubber strap or Speed bracelet.
