The business was founded in 1858 by Fredric Boucheron in Paris. It is one of the few French brands that have been known for their mens watches designs that have attracted affluent customers for the last 148 years. It focuses on both jewelry designs and watches.
Then in end of year 2000, the Gucci Group bought over the company after finding the brand’s achievements to be fascinating.
Together with Gucci’s expertise in luxury goods, they were able to reach synergistic effect in creating jewelry and timepieces. Gucci foresee the company’s potential and has set an objective to increase the boutiques from 5 to 50 worldwide.
The company’s dedication to jewelry has been reflected in their watch designs. They produced timepieces that are both works of art and time where it is not just limited to wristwatches but chatelines and pendants as well.
Let us look at some of their signature collections. The Reflet has a rectangular face that is made of steel and 18-karat gold and a ridged pattern (called gadroons) running down the case.
The bracelet system has a patented sliding clasp for easy strap changing. Within the Reflet collection, there is the Reflet Icare and Reflet Parallele.
The Reflet Icare has the rectangular case in Reflet range but the bottom case is slightly wider than the top giving it a subtle asymmetrical shape. The gray dial with silver markers against a polished or satin finish case finishes it with a very sleek look.
It also has another version that is using steel and diamonds. The Icare’s other version which is made of satin-finished gold. Its dial is in totally plain gold. It houses a quartz movement with a water resistance of up to 30m.
As for Reflet Parallele, it is made fully of polished steel or 18 karat gold. The gadroons run down the 45mm case and the dial. The indications within the dial are the seconds counter at 6, the date at 5, minute counter at 10.
