Bell & Ross BR01-97 Commando
2009 main offering is Bell & Ross B01-97 Commando. This model is less technical than the predecessors like the BR01 Instrument or the BR Instrument Minuteur Tourbillon, but still pleases the brand's fans with its unassuming functionality. The DLC (diamond-like coating) stainless steel case is designed with military personnel in mind, for there is zero light reflectivity, allowing low visibility to enemy soldiers. The inconspicuous grey colour scheme allows easy blending into camouflaged uniforms as well, proving the Commando to be a worthy companion. Limited edition of 500 pieces.

The movement utilizes the automatic ETA Caliber 2897 with 21 jewels that vibrate at 28,800 times per hour. The impressive DLC-coated stainless steel case is 46mm x 46mm, with a height of 10.2mm. DLC, or diamond-like coating, is an indestructible finish that renders the watch virtually scratch-proof. The bezel on Bell & Ross BR01-97 Commando is secured to the monocoque case with four screws at each corner. It uses a screw-in crown. The face is made of anti-reflective treated sapphire crystal. Water-resistance is to 10 atm. The main functions are hours, minutes, sweep seconds; date at 3; power reserve display at 7. Black superluminova-applied hands and bold Arabic numerals and indexes ensure easy readability under any lighting conditions. The band is a matching grey rubber strap with a powder coated buckle.
