Before discussing about Baume Mercier Hampton Classic M0A08822, a short history about the Hampton range of watches. Created in 1994 and feature rectangular models inspired by a timepiece from the 1940s. The collection derived its name from the Hamptons, situated on Long Island not far from New York, the playground for society's elite during their summer vacations. The slim, well-proportioned timepieces have been Baume & Mercier's trademark for understated elegance.

Baume Mercier Hampton Classic M0A08822 uses the automatic BM Caliber 11824 (base ETA 2824-2) containing 25 jewels and vibrate at 28,800 times per hour. Water-resistance is up to 5 atm. The stainless steel case is 45.5mm x 30mm, with a height of 10.6mm. The face and screwed down case-back are both made of sapphire crystal, allowing a lovely view of the movement encased within. Its functions are hours, minutes, sweep seconds; and date at 6.

This model features a silvered, line guilloché dial, with blue steeled hands on silvered Arabic numerals and indexes. The strap is dark brown alligator leather, with a triple folding buckle.
